Established by my father in 1983, Jazz flowers is a family-run florist with over 35 years experience. As well as an object of beauty and elegance, flowers and plants can be an expression of our humanity; of love, affection, appreciation, and compassion. Through our artistry, we help people to stay connected as well as commemorate some of the most significant days in their lives. No two weeks at Jazz are the same, and no two projects are either – the work is a privilege and incredibly grounding.
We began as a flower stand called Dansk Flowers outside the Danish embassy in Knightsbridge. My sister Lilli and I have many childhood memories of helping our father unloading flowers off the Dutch lorries, and counting out change for our customers. I loved to watch the florists work with speed, precision, and skill – it was then that my passion for floristry began to bloom. In the year 2000, we relocated the business into a shop in Fulham and renamed ourselves ‘Jazz’ in honour of my mother, Janet – as is her nickname (and also her taste in music)! My mum continues to be the backbone of the business and inspires me to make the most of all Jazz Flowers can be.
In Fulham is where we proudly remain today. Our elegant flower display spills onto the Wandsworth Bridge Road as we warmly welcome customers to watch the art of bouquet-making in action. We are always looking forward – perfecting our distinctive style of floristry, and keeping our finger on the pulse of current trends, however, the intrinsic nature of Jazz Flowers remains the same as always; a personalised and human approach in every aspect of our work, acute attention to detail, and working the freshest premium-grade flowers and plants, sourcing our flowers and foliage locally whenever possible.
We pride ourselves on being a small independent, family-run business that ensures our exacting standards and high customer expectations always exceed.
