Jazz Flowers is a florist based in London (“we”, ‘us” “our”, and “Jazz Flowers”). We use your personal data to manage and administer your orders, and by collecting essential information through cookies, we aim to provide a smooth and user-friendly experience as you navigate through our website.
PART 1 — THE INFORMATION WE CAN COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT
1a. Making a Purchase
If you make a purchase through the website, telephone, or in person, we will collect the information we need to fulfil your order and notify you of the status of your order, such as by sending you a confirmational email. We may also use your email address or your telephone number to contact you if there is a problem with your order. For flower deliveries, the address, name, and contact number of the recipient will be required. We may need to contact the recipient by telephone to update them on the status of the delivery, if there are any issues or if the recipient does not appear to be in to accept the delivery.
Where you make a purchase by credit/debit card via the Website, the cardholder data is passed securely to the online payment provider immediately and not stored on our machines.
1b. Setting up an Account
If you set up an account, either online, in person, or over the phone, we will collect your email address and ask you to provide a username. A password will be sent to your email and is required thereafter for future logins. You have the option to provide a forename, surname, default billing address, and a default delivery address. These fields are non-compulsory, but beneficial for the account holder’s ease of use.
1c. Signing up for our Monthly E-newsletter
If you choose to receive our Monthly E-newsletter or sign up as an Account Holder, the email address that you submit will be forwarded to MailChimp who provides us with email marketing services. Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of all of our email newsletters.
If you contact us for any reason via email (email@example.com) we may keep a record of that correspondence. We archive email correspondence with customers, in case we need to refer to the issue or resolution at a future date.
PART 2 — YOUR DATA RIGHTS
2a. Rights of access, rectification, and erasure
Under the new GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any of the personal data which we have collected from you. If you wish to do so, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with an email entitled ‘Customer Data Request’. You will be asked to provide us with the necessary identification before we can process your request. Once you have provided us with the necessary identification, we are obliged to fulfil your request within 30 days.
